the rain kept things to a minimum here in the woods... probably
just delayed until tonight... either way we have about a week
of stupidity before it gets back to status quo...

My dad was born in '32 as well. He also died in July...July
16th, 1989.
I know what you mean about having one day to...Well.....I know
what you mean. We have to make those days for ourselves I guess.
The Declaration of Independence is something beyond American
really. I think it's worth celebrating as a treatise for freedom
of thought. The fact that the nation it formed is still trying
to realize the promise set forth by that document, is
undeniable. The thing is, way back then, a few brave, somewhat
crazy characters managed to put down in words an abject
condemnation of tyranny.
The ideals set forth in that document are worthy of praise. The
sacrifices made should be honored. The sins should be accounted
for as well.
On July 4...It would be great, if as Americans we could all just
stand together as Brothers and Sisters....And then take up our
arguments with each other tomorrow.
That just ain't the world we live in anymore, however. I don't
think that world ever really was.
So I put out my flag....Grilled some burgers and drank two
beers. Tonight I'll be cussing the knuckleheads out shooting

I revere this country and the principles it was founded on.
I am NOT a fan of its current political reality. And I don't
think EITHER party that is clogging up its potential has any
right to claim superiority. I see an equal amount of hatred
being spewed from both "sides" of this. I don't want to
participate.
I put a fair amount of my blood, treasure and energy into
walking my talk.
When I get called a "Nazi" for disagreeing with points of view I
consider uninformed and senseless, it hurts. Do you actually
know what a Nazi is? (not you AJ). That's just hatred. Don't try
to claim acceptance and tolerance when you spew that kind of
hatred. That's phony and disingenuous.
I sincerely regret feeling angry with people who I otherwise
admire and respect---but gawddambit, you can only push me SO FAR
before I push back.

fuck the lies. this country is founded on lies and the blood
of innocents. deceit and treachery are the hallmarks of every
single agreement made with any native nation. ever! period!
death and disease was the gift of accepting the ways of the
“civilized” colonizers... to this day equal rights is a joke,
mockery and racism is publicly acceptable. i am a close friend
of a man that was beaten and kept in a closet because he called
for his mother in his native language... land of the free? i
get it that you want a day of peace, a day where we can all sit
down and say, wtf! lets let all this shit go! yay! thats
what i want too... but it has to start by telling the truth and
accepting that what we did was wrong so IT WONT FUCKING EVER
HAPPEN TO ANYONE EVER FUCKING AGAIN...
im tired of feeling like some fucking dog begging at your
goddamned table for fucking scraps... when youre sitting at my
motherfucking table to begin with... im willing to share
everything i have if you ask... but taking without asking, or
taking by lies is stealing... and waiting until tomorrow to set
things right is how we are this far behind now... i pray for a
time to accept the truth so we can all move forward.
