We did indeed have a good trip.
Mama D was in one of her better moods, so we had a nice visit
and spent some time looking at videos and pictures of my
nephew's family that he sent for Mama D to see. She is quite
proud of her great grand-kids; her grand kids too, for that
matter. :)
I took the 25 yer old Dinkletruck, which has developed an
intermittent fault with the AC. I think it's electrical, as the
compressor clutch doesn't always engage. I'll have to phone bro
and pick his brain a bit. He has a fair bit of experience with
these old Chevy pickups.
So yeah, it was a warm trip. ;D

Electrical perhaps. Low refrigerant level maybe. I do know to
replace the clutch requires a special tool. Glad your trip was
safe and a happy one! ;)

Yeah, I was wondering if low refrigerant would kick in some type
of safety or some such.
When it does work, it does get pretty cold, so I dunno.
I'll probably take out to the Dinklefarm when bro has the time
to look at it.
He took an AC course at a local college years ago. He has all
the gauges and tools and things for servicing automotive cooling
equipment.
In fact, he has a very well equipped shop out on the farm,
complete with a vehicle lift and just about every type of tool
you can think of.
Being a farmer, he gets to write off a lot of it as a business
expense.
It's nice to have access to such a facility, even if it is a bit
of a mess at times.
