After a month with no time or energy to play, finally got some
time tonight to plunk about a bit. Flipped the switch on the
Line 6 and picked up the Tele...Remarkable. It was exactly a
half step sharp across the board. perfectly in tune, but a half
note sharp.
So I just played a half note sharp! Took it as a sign...... :))
Probably just the humidity and temp swings we've had over the
last month. When it gets over 95 outside, the upstairs rooms in
the house get about 5 degrees warmer than the ones downstairs.
All the bedrooms and the computer/music room are upstairs. I put
a window unit in the master bedroom several years ago because
the wife's thyroid issues demand cool temps for comfort.
Anyway...I haven't even scratched the surface on the setting on
the Line 6 and I had some spacey, wish I had a stick of weed
settings going tonight. This is a rock solid guitar Men. I love
it...I'm rusty as hell though.
My music room is a bit of fucking mess. I just have picks all
over the place. The one I picked up was a heavy one and so I
played with it. I don't buy heavy picks so after about an hour
of noodling, I looked at it.
It had "Musicville" emblazoned on it. Musicville was a music
store over on memorial Drive I used to frequent, so it must have
been a freebee.
Musicville has been closed for like 35 years. Good pick, if ya
like heavy ones.

with me over my choice of diet... you gave a man a guitar but
you haven’t yet let him own it... ive watched aj tell you
several times that he prefers the guitar just the way it is...

to like anything for the same reasons because each of us have
our own minds and every damned one is unique. Some folks

simple, plain ol’ 6 string... and when one tries to tell the

time ago. Yeah I teased him a bit but I knew he could take it.

Ok....Some intervention by an Admin is clearly needed here.
1. This is The Electric Guitar Forum.
2. In particular, this here thread is one I started about MY
Telecaster.
3. Dano meant no harm in suggesting mods to the instrument. He
knows about that stuff and was eager for me to branch out and
try those options. I like the guitar as it is. What may have
seemed like friction between us on the issue was not. It was
just 2 guys bantering, all in good fun.
4. I love both you guys. You are very different individuals.
Seems that you have had a series of clashes in other forums. Why
did this particular thread become the repository for this
running argument? This is my Danocaster thread!
5. I don't want either one of you to leave this forum.
When I banned politics, IndigoDave left. He and Dano got into
it, and it upset me. I thought banning politics might remove a
source of friction. Dave really cited me Freedom of Speech as a
reason he was splitting. I felt bad about it.
But it's obvious now.....Everything is political, in one way or
another. It just makes me sad.
I could really use some friends right now, with this cancer
thing staring me down.
