Dear God Dan......I do not know what to say Brother. I do not
what I did to deserve such an act of absolute kindness and
generosity. I have been on this miserable ball nearly 67 years
and I have never had anybody at any time do anything like this
       for me.
It is absolutely beautiful!!! I have not even tuned it up yet.
I'm too busy fondling and looking at it!
I MUST be allowed to reciprocate in some fashion Dan. I don't
know how to. You must let me send you and your wife a gift card
of some kind or something! What did I do to deserve this
incredible gift? This great kindness? All I've done is try to be
a friend to you! And that has been it's own reward to me!

Did I mention it also came in a Hardshell case? With a badass
       strap???
       I'm overwhelmed...Simply overwhelmed....I gotta take a shower
and get on some clean clothes so I can tune this thing up and
       see where it takes me!
I've wanted a Tele my whole life........Now I've been gifted
       with one?...
Overwhelmed......I don't remember the last time I had tears in
       my eyes Dano... :'(

       Settle down now!
Why? Hell, why not? I wanted to. You said you had always wanted
a Tele, and I had a spare. And because I hold you in high esteem
and wanted to do something to show it.
I bought it in a local pawn shop a couple/few years ago. Some
hack had been at the electronics and had it totally broken and
missing parts---but the body and neck were fine, so I got it
cheap. Used it as a test bed for different ideas---it recently
sported two Danelectro lipstick pickups mounted in a modded
pickguard along with the original bridge pickup and a 5-way
switch---kinda cool but I never really used it much. Had spare
pickguards, electronic components, and a set of Texas Tele
Specials laying around doing nothing, so I made it back into a
"regular" Telecaster. The tuners, bridge, control plate, nut, &c
are all stock Squier items, though not necessarily original to
THAT guitar. Nothing "special" but they work.
The case came from a neighbor who buys and sells things he finds
here and there. The cloth lining around the body cavity had come
loose and the foam had deteriorated badly---cleaning that up was
a mess! Replaced the foam with strips I cut from the packing
materials that came with my recent OM (so you got a little piece
of FK too), glued the cloth back down. Didn't spend a lot of
time on it. As you can see, the case is pretty worn, you gotta
mess with it to get it to shut right. Its purpose was to simply
protect the guitar in shipping. UPS has a bad track record with
       me >:(
The strap came from a barter deal many years ago. BTW, those are
Dunlop Straploks, and the screw holding the lower strap button
to the guitar body has a totally stripped head, you'll never get
it outta there! I'll own that fuckup. Mea culpa! Didn't pilot
the hole for the longer screw and that's what ya get.
Now shuddup and play yer guitar ;D

Well, Dan, I just have to thank you one last time.
       Thank You Sir!
Thanks for the story of her as well! I’m going to print that out
and put it in the case for posterity’s sake. Cuz we all die and
history is important. I took a shower, ate a sandwich and ended
up playing it until 10 pm last night. My hands were cramping or
       I’d have gone longer. O0
Further musings on the Danocaster to come in the Electric
       guitar category.
       Color me ecstatic! ;D

I been told, "The more you give away, the more you got".
Sounded like bullshit to me, at first.
       Now I'm testing it.
       Seems to bear out.
