Today's the day

I meet my cardio surgeon. 9:40AM appointment at U of M Frankel
Cardiovascular Center.
Figures that for the last couple days, my truck has been
displaying electrical issues. Totally intermittent and hard to
diagnose. If I can get it to start, it'll run fine---got a
battery charger/jumpstart gizmo, so we'll get there---we'll
worry about it starting to get home after.
I've been waiting for this appointment for months. No way I'm
going to miss it. Been feeling steadily weaker and crappier for
a while now. Got to get this happening.
Hoping to give y'all a surgery date next post.
Wish us luck.

Got damb.
Surgery is not indicated. My local cardiologist was all wrong.
I cannot tell you the depth of my relief.

...one week later...
Fellas, it feels like I've been given my life back! A great big
HUGE weight has been lifted, from me, from Cinny, from my
friends and loved ones.
I can sleep again without waking in the wee hours in a panic. I
want to DO things again.
I actually did something I said I'd never do---I opened a
Facebook account. Reconnecting with a lot of family and friends
who I had kinda isolated myself from. Shit can be addictive,
though---getting over my initial fascination, but it IS useful.
Realizing how much negativity and hate (others' AND mine)
happens on some of the forums I was posting on. I think I'm
about over that. I like it here because there are only a few of
us and we treat each other well.
Just wanted to share this update. Time to get busy---weeds to
pull, compost to turn, life to live.
:)

Thanks, friend.
Happiness, to me, is kind of a fleeting thing. It comes and it
goes. Difficult to sustain constantly. I do have times of great
happiness, though.
I'm certainly feeling more contented than I have in a long
while. Much more positive and motivated. Even beginning to get
over my pissoff at the cardiologist who gave us such a scare.
Thanks again, I appreciate it.
