My tobacco-smoking days are numbered---
Top-O-Matic rolling machine, filtered tubes, bulk "natural"
tobacco (it'll all kill you)
bout 85c/pack

Back in the 70's, they was a lot of different "Roll your own"
devices around. I bought a "Laredo". Thing was, it rolled so
tightly you couldn't get a joint to draw for shit.

Not designed for that! My ol' grampaw had one---it injected the
filter as well as the tobacco into the tube. The rig I've got
uses filtered tubes, otherwise kinda similar but much
bigger/heavier duty.
But I really gotta get off these damned things, they're killing
me.
I prefer a small pipe for herb; joints seem wasteful. I make my
own little dugout-style pipes from pieces of scrap wood. Drill a
bowl, drill a draw hole, shape it on a bench sander, wipe on a
few coats of tung oil, add a screen. Old school and simple.

When I partook of the magic flower, a small pipe was my favorite
delivery system as well. Joints were for sharing with friends.
