Mother’s Day

Went to my sister’s house and had a grand time with my sister
and her hubby and in laws, and my brother and his wife. It was a
good thing, especially for my sister, whose only child was
killed in a traffic accident in 2000, and for my brother’s wife,
as both of their sons are off in different branches of the
military. First Mother’s Day she hadn’t had at least one of them
at home. The gals really had a good visit as well as us guys.
But hell....put lbs. of brisket, sausage, ribs and cold beer in
front of us and we’re good
anyway...😀🍖🍗🥩🍺🍺🍺🍺

How tragic to lose a child.
But the rest of it sounds good.
Mother's Day is hard for me. My mother is alive but I've had no
contact with her in many years. She's a manipulative bully who
made my childhood a living hell. I've tried to mend the
relationship many times over the years but she won't allow it.
Done beating my head against that wall. Most of my siblings, the
same (with mother).

My wife's side of the family has had similar
dysfunctions..Between siblings and parents, but both parents are
dead now. three of her sisters had not spoken to their father in
30 years when he died....Or to each other for that matter.
Kentuckians are some grudge holdin' folks I tell ya.
