Saw a story on local TV about a local beekeepers hives that were
vandalized. The creeps had taken an ax to them.

Really steamed me. Beekeeping on a small scale, as I understand
it, is not like super lucrative. The keeper is a longtime
keeper, well liked and a real help to local small farms, moving
his hives around during the seasons to help pollinate their
crops. Then selling local honey. Some friends of his are going
on to setup a go fund me sight for him and I’m going to follow
the story and send him a Franklin to help him....and all of us
out. We’re done without
bees.🐝🌼🌸🍀🥀🐝

I no longer try to eradicate dandelions, since I learned they're
about all that pollinators have to eat when they emerge from
hibernation.
Acquired some bamboo tubing that I'm going to fashion into mason
bee habitats.
You're so right---without pollinators, we're done.

Also joined the Seed Savers Exchange this year. Their mission is
to maintain and preserve diversity in food crops. Been buying
from them for a while, now we're supporters. Might even be able
to contribute some seed stock, if our yield is good enough.
It's a little thing, but it's SOMEthing.
