       i didn't mean to, but i lied when i said i wasn't going to
comment further, and i apologise for that. the revelations of
the last 24 hours are absolutely fucking mind-blowing to me. how
can a president owe >$400,000,000 to foreign investors (and
seemingly doesn't have anywhere near the resources to pay it
back), yet only pay $1500 in tax over a 15 year period? i feel
like i'm going insane. it's amazing to me that this isn't
grounds for instant disqualification for a presidential
candidate. it's surely a MASSIVE compromise of your national
security. is anyone seriously buying the "FAKE NEWS!"
       response?!?
       [/quote]
       A few things.
First, I'm glad you're still commenting. I value your
input---like I said, outside perspectives can be very useful.
       Thanks, buddy :)
Yes, these revelations are indeed mind-blowing. It's been known
for some time that this self-described "billionaire", this
"shrewd businessman", is in fact a master of bankrupting
businesses, losing YUGE sums of others' money, and generally
being an incompetent manager. However, I take the actual figures
with a shaker of salt. One thing about our country's mainstream
media is its propensity to exaggerate, mislead, and spin content
beyond credulity. This is true of both "sides".
What's not being widely reported is the Biden family's
involvement with, and profits from, foreign governments. Creepy
Uncle Joe himself has been deeply involved in some of the same
things he damns Trump for. The hypocrisy is astounding. Neither
       is right or proper.
We have elected officials from both parties who have become
multimillionaires while in office---a phenomenon that is not
realistically possible on their salaries. WTF is up with that?
So many secrets, so many lies, so little transparency. Is it any
wonder that more and more of we, the people trust our government
less and less all the time?

I was not astonished at the depth of DJT’s debt. He’s left
untold numbers of creditors holding the bag with his
       bankruptcies in the past.
This was no secret. All this was known, even before he ran for
office. Despite our Congress decrying loopholed in the tax
codes, the only loopholes they ever close are the ones affecting
“The rest of us”. The corporate world funds the candidates that
do their bidding in order to assure the middle and lower classes
pay the bills so they can continue to amass wealth, and
       centralize power.

Surely it is lost on no one that Joe’s son Hunter got a Cush job
in Ukraine because his father was Vice President. Hunter had no
background or education in energy at all.
Neither one of these men have any business being in positions of
power. Yet...it is what it is. I’ll hold my nose, throw up in
my mouth, and vote for Biden. Not because he’s better. Because I
think he’s less worse. He still stinks.

i really will not comment again in this thread, but in terms of
the reluctance to vote for biden, unfortunately i'm reminded of
       a piece by david sedaris:
"it's like you're on a flight, and the trolley comes round, and
they say "we have the chicken, or the dogshit with broken
glass", and you ask 'how is the chicken cooked?'"

Okay. Enough. You have gone too far. I don't give a flying fuck
what you think. You have been overtly contentious throughout
this thread. I no longer care to try to be patient with you.
Fuck off. You have no basis for your unfounded bullshit. You can
       kiss my ass.
This thread ended up the way you claimed to fear because you
MADE it that way. I tried and tried to equivocate, but you're
just not having it. YOU pushed it beyond reason. Kiss my ass,
       idiot. Fuck OFF.

Being dressed down by a Brit about politics is funny. You are
ruled by a nut job PM that seems hellbent on wrecking your
country’s economy, and support a royal family that is among the
most inbred group of homely fucktards in the world.
Dano and I disagree on politics, this much is true. But this is
our house Imp. Clean up your own then come back here when you
have a leg to stand on. People that live in glass houses are
       unwise to throw rocks.
That isn’t say you aren’t welcome here, you absolutely are. Your
opinions are too. But Americans tend to stick together. Even
when the shitbags are indeed shitbags, it’s still a nations
thing. Fire away though. Just be aware it may be more than just
Dano with a flamethrower aiming at you.

i'm not dressing anyone down, jim. i agree entirely that the uk
is more politically fucked than the US, but there's nothing i
can do about that. and you pointing it out doesn't make me feel
like i'm being "dressed down". it's just true. the uk is fucked
beyond repair, and for the record, the royal family can go fuck
       themselves.
however, the US is the most powerful nation on the planet.
you're about to elect the next new "leader of the free world",
and the fact someone like donald trump even has half a chance is
       laughable.

this is AJ's forum, not yours. if he wants me to fuck off, then
so be it, but i won't be fucked off by you, because you can't

It’s not laughable. It’s sad and sickening that Trump is even a
part of political conversation. But he’s an American product,
and that is sadly something we as Americans have to accept and
       answer for.
I sent my absentee ballot off this morning. Voted for Biden with
       fear and loathing.
