my former assistant is back from his rainbow experience in
hawaii and anxious to go to work. we are looking at having him
help at the sanctuary when we aren’t traveling/gonging...
besides that, the kids a good influence on me... good
looking, pleasant young man, excellent drummer and showman...
the women love him and hes a romantic... waiting on the one...
so they chase him even harder... confident without the ego.
im glad to have him back on board, a load off my mind as well as
my back.
a festival in kentucky in june... playthink... with the
butterfly ministry tribe and hes telling me the sponsors are
noticing... firefly has offered 10g for the butterfly/gong
village art experience and its beginning to look like i may
realize my intention of taking over the financial responsibility
for our animal sanctuary... *blows on dice and grins*

OMG!!! If'n I tell the wife you're going to be in Kentucky she
gonna go all GaGa...Kentucky is her homeland. She was born and
raised in Northern Kentucky and sings that land praises to
whomever will listen. We traveled there many times while her
Grandpeeps were still alive. Got married on their farm...Married
by the Bandleader on the Kentucky Hayride, a Kentucky Bluegrass
TV show, back in the day. Her G'Pa was a mandolin and guitar
player. Played with Bill Monroe, Red Foley, made a few of his
own records as well.
Had a great bluegrass and country blowout right there on the
farm. She would cry every time we even crossed the state line.
Her back couldn't take another road trip that long, or we'd have
gone up there for old times sake. We haven't been since Granma
died and the farm got chopped up by greedy siblings.
But if you've never been, it's a beautiful state, still very
rural.

i fell in love with DC! thats sayin’ something, im a country
boy!
the people, the energy! the buzz! i had two different schools
ask me to be a teacher... a teacher to their teachers on gongs
and singing bowls! five different gong students asked me to be
their guru! life is different in the big city, eh? wtf? my
first performance was the only one that wasnt standing room
only! saturday i started before dawn with a sunrise
meditation. i stopped playing sometime after 1 am sunday, fell
asleep for an hour, got up and played the best performance of my
life, on anything, any instrument, any venue... it was my best
performance ever, period... over two hours i poured out every
but of passion, pain and joy in my soul, in my heart... and
sometime after 3am in washington DC, a 40ft dome exploded into
joy! they blew up the mall! dancing in the rain and mud!
singing! marching! i saw 70, maybe 80 people in the dome...
there were hundreds outside listening.. in the rain... it was
mind bending... it was humbling beyond what i can express. i
was not prepared for the love i received... and most
definitely was unaware of the reality of it and the depth of
which it is felt. i was and remain truly humbled by their love
for me. its beyond what i can express.
