help me design our tour bus..

ok, im planning out my trailer for the next phase of this thing.
       i have a new 7x16 dual axle V-nose. ordering 4- 385 watt solar
panels to run a 3kW “generator” (i think should be a
“collector”) that should easily handle three to four one hour
performances at full throttle.. for three days without needing
       recharged...
im estimating i rarely run above 1/3 full power to begin with
and max load is probably 10 minutes out of an hour at most. most
of what i do is not pushing the amplifiers much above idle and
the kill-a-watt meter that shows real world use backed this up.
so i should have enough juice to run a small ac in the daylight
hours, small fridge, lights fan, tunes, (i can hook up a set of
qsc k10s for house stereo) and a 360* security cam system for
entertainment while in the green room...

No comprendo power plant description. 4 x 385W panels
(collectors), si. "3kW generator" throws me.
Electrically-powered motor spinning a generator head? No, that
can't be. Terribly inefficient (not enough juice to get full
power), only work at all when sun's shining.
       Batteries?
You got to splain to me, Lucy. I don' geddit.

...You're gonna need more power. 1500 watts total is not a
       lot.Especially for the load you're describing. A smallish a/c,
115 volts is still going to require around 1200 watts. Small
       fridge probably at least 300.
Not trying to rain on your parade...Living better electrically
requires power. You may need to supplement your nighttime load
       with a small gasoline generator.

possibly... oh wait... ok, i see. 1500 watts s what the panels
produce in sunlight... not total end of day... thats
multiplied by time... summed up and stored in the batteries...
calculated by amp hours... watts are silly and confusing...
especally to musos... same word diff bird kinda... its like
       this...
       Watts = Amps x Volts
       Amps = Watts / Volts
a 30W radio to play for an hour would need 2.5Amphour
       battery...
30.00W. requires 2.500 Ah battery storage. plays
1 hour. move the decimal point to the right, twice...
according to electrical theory, i should be able to provide 4
one hour shows at full steam( which is 4 times what i actually
need). a small fridge, a 5000 22seer ac (during daylight hours)
incidentally the ac. can ruduring sunlight hours and still
charge my system... thats where the 1500 comes into play...
fast charge... lots of juice... each panel produces 10amps
@48V... add it up, you dont want to touch that live...i aint
chargin a lawn light with this beast... i found out yesterday
       this is cutting edge shit!

       4 450ampHour batteries rated @ 20hr rate of depletion @ 70f.
wired up to a pure sine wave 3kW inverter ... and of course a
charge controller ... batteries are lead acid submerged... i
cant afford lithium and i like that ALL lead acid batteries are
97% recycled... may be old school but thats top of the heap
green tech... non polluting... silent power, clean power...
       its time.

well ya didn't tell me all that, ya mook
       okay, yer gettin close
still not quite there though---idle current ain't gonna quite
       take care o' that
my advice---which you WILL NOT like--is to get an internal
combustion generator (fire it on propane if that'll assuage yer
hippie dreams) to add to the PV that will NEVER produce what you
hope for---your carbon footprint will still be much less than
       hooking up to "shore power"---

nope, not giving up yet... im going to be the first solar
powered electric gong! stop telling me i cant and watch...

if i could afford lithium, id be in tall cotton... lead acid
batts take damages when discharged below 50% or so... so 60%
duscharge is a good limit for keeping batteries working... for
years and years if you treat em good

I want you to succeed but you're totally way too hopeful.
Yer gonna fail with what specs I've seen so far.
You can call me names but your specs are way too light to carry
       the load you describe.
