im pretty tolerant but willful ignorance is something i also do
my best to avoid. the arrogance that so often accompanies it
has a stench that is unmistakable.

Avoid the News Channels at all costs.
Hell.
Avoid TV.
Prolly don't have to tell you this.
I'll be quiet now.

I heard something recently. Reportedly there is a Fox News
division and a Fox Entertainment division. The opinionaters
like Hannity , Carlson and Ingram are in the entertainment
division. The average schmuck who watches Fox News doesn't know
this and believes their distorter of choice.
I watch some MSNBC and CNN show segments on YouTube. I also
have a Washington Post subscription - mostly read some of their
articles on my phone. I also have a news aggregating app called
Flipboard - from a variety of sources. Some folks in my extended
family are very ignorant about many current events. It's my
belief that they acquire their beliefs from Fox News. When I
mentioned how brutally evil the North Korean government is, my
brother-in-law asked, "sort of like Cuba ?". This sort of
question IMO exposes an unacceptable level of ignorance -
especially in someone who has strong political opinions.

Fox and MSNBC are polar opposites. Both are skewed to the far
sides of the spectrum. Both shamelessly promote the political
sides they skew towards. Both distort things.
I do watch CNN however, but in small doses. While they are
branded as leftist, the brand is not always deserved. They
present both sides of arguments for the most part, and have
genuine conservatives as regular commentators. All three of
these networks are absolutely besotted with politics. I just
find I have less and less patience for the talking head format
in political roundtables, etc.
I prefer just listening to NPR for coverage of things. I like
the way they get on an issue, focus on it, and present it for
what it actually is. They too, are branded as liberal by
politicians, but it's undeserved, IMHO.
PBS is another favorite avenue for national coverage for me. The
program "Frontline" has riveting, unbiased coverage of stories
as well.

AJ, I don't think MSNBC and CNN equate to Fox News. Fox has
Shep Smith and Bret Baer. I watched a couple of Shep Smith
segments on YouTube. They're part of some news division and
Hannity and the other Fox Mafiosos are part of some
entertainment division. Or something of the sort. I only
glanced at the article below - but will read it.
My view is that MSNBC and CNN obsess on the news stories. And
maybe pump stories up. But honest sincere journalists have
standards they adhere to. Things like multiple sources and what
not- not sure of all of 'em. But Hannity can spread some
conspiracy about that Seth Rich dude who seemed to have been
randomly murdered. Hannity went on for some number of shows
spreading a murder conspiracy involving Hillary. MSNBC and CNN
don't do this sort of silly horseshit. Fox News is sort of an
Americanized version of that Russian state run media (Pravda?).
It's getting that fucking weird. Hannity and Trump talk
regularly. Holy fuck Batman !!

Just for reference. This seems to be the location where I played
at Canary Wharf. During rush hour there were hundreds of people
streaming by ever couple of minutes.

Well, I wasn't directly paralleling MSNBC and CNN to FOX. FOX is
over the top to be sure. They broadcast outright lies. The
previous two networks skew left, but you know compared to
FOX..EVERYTHING is left. Lol.
Hannity, Ingraham, Coulter, Limbaugh are all a cable of evil.
Lying bastards and bitches. if I said what I think should be
done with them I'd probably get arrested.
My Niece has been referring to FOX as "Pravda" for years now.
It's evermore becoming a valid comparison.
