A new random thoughts thread...

My new idea for a new convention. For when a thread is going to
wander, because sometimes I get lost as to where some statement
is posted. And the subjects shift here and there, like normal
conversation does. So my idea is to create a new random
thoughts thread. If you like we could datestamp it in the
subject, but no one is forced to use it if they want to create
dedicated threads on specific subjects.
Thoughts. Observations. I offer the virtual floor to AJ or
anyone else.

I actually asked youse guys, in the suggestion box a week or so
ago if ya wanted me to make up some new categories.
But it's a good idea
So I'll sticky this thread....I think when I get some more
time..I'm going to actually create different boards...Right now
we have the one.."Enter The Basement" and everything goes there.
Bear with me.....I' gonna change some tings up....Maybe a
separate board for Life, Music, Politics, Film. And sub boards
for guitars, keyboards, recording....

talk about that here, I have to take it to the political forum?
I already know where to get that bullshit.

You can post anything you want...Anywhere you want Dano. I ain't
fencin' you in Pard. just trying to make things easier to keep
up with is all.

I want everyone to be absolutely comfortable, saying exactly
what they wish to....Anywhere they wish to....No one should feel
obligated to poast anything in a specific board. I'm exceedingly
glad you and everybody else post here, and that you all continue
to do so is all I care about.
your opinions, pro or con about the joint are welcomed and
encouraged.
I just wanted to kind of add a small modicum of
organization....I don't even know why....And you make a good
point about this being a small tribe. I like it that way though.
Easy to keep up with folks...Easy to maintain conversation.
Easy is my middle name......

OK. I have a random thought. Try not to get too excited now.
I just coined a term: onlyist... I'm thinking of 3 people. One
is a highly skilled guitar player. About 10 years ago he came to
jazz. So, since then, he only wants to listen to jazz and only
wants to play jazz. These jazz onlyists can be legalistic about
what's allowed. If say Wes Montgomery recorded something like
"Tequila", then that song can be allowed on their list.
My 2nd person is a friend of the guitar player I described
above. This guy took up guitar maybe around age 55. Maybe
around 10 years (give or take). He's decided he's into what
some call Gypsy Jazz. He's narrowed his niche of interest to
just those years Django Reinhardt was musically active.
My 3rd person is a cousin I have in Jacksonville (about 140
miles away from me). This cousin is within 3 days of my age.
She told me about 3- 4 years ago that she and her husband only
like classic rock.
I have dubbed these people as being onlyists. I think onlyists
most likely miss a lot of interesting and exciting things in
life.

During an herbally inspired reflection, I epiphanied (I made up
a word) that in the world of games, I'm an onlyist. I took up
chess about a year and a half ago. I'm not into games.
Definitely not into those jigsaw puzzles. But I'm a gaming
onlyist.
Hey I'm entertaining myself here. Kind of a mental masturbation.
