The Work weekend so far..

...One service call, this morning. Out of the last 5 weekends,
no tech has had a weekend, or a night, service call. My
weekend...Of course, I get a service call. Wasn't too bad.
About 4 hours worth. A refrigerant leak, and two badly worn
contactors triggered oil failures on a rack and shut down 3
compressors. A rebuild of a solenoid, 2 contactors, and 96# of
R-404a. Hate the store though...2 flights of stairs to get to
the motor room. Plus I've had refrigerant stolen out of my truck
there in the past.
Was home by 1. Ate a samich and took a nap.
Good news is, now that we've modified rotation in favor of us
old guys, I won't be back on weekend or night duty again until
late in April...... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

The samich and the nap were both real gud.
Coupla weeks ago, I cooked up a steaming cauldron of vegetable
soup.A nice soup bone, some beef bouillon cubes, cut up
potatoes, celery, carrots...Skinned some corn off the cobs,
fresh green beans, chopped up some kale, some scallions, a
broccoli crown, about a half a head of cabbage, chopped up a
couple of bell peppers and a some jalapenos ...poured in some
vegetable stock...brought it to a boil and let it simmer for 5
hours.
Damn it was good. Froze the leftovers. That was dinner tonight,
along with some nice garlic bread. Damn it was gud all over
again.
But that damn nap....Now I can't get sleepy...And it's 1:30!!!
Hope I don't get any early service calls!! :o

...Well the job gave me a Karmic Fuck today. About 10 minutes
into the NFC game I get a service call. In Galveston...60 miles
away! >:( On the way there I get yet another in Pasadena...So i
get home , just in time for the last 6 minutes of regulation im
the AFC game. It was an exciting few minutes though. The Pats
just seem unstoppable.
Mahones will be back tho. He's young as hell. his career is just
getting started.
