Not a great recording, but the spirit and purpose is definitely
there.
We had a Dedication/Discussion directly after the ugly incident
on another site (I think AJ started it) few of us made some
heartfelt comments..
I believe the host of the site took it down, citing some
personal reasons ...i.e. too close to home, a youngster killed
was from his town, or one close to him...IDK
Understandable, I guess.
Anyway..I am happy to be able be able to post this here in 'The
Basement' as a salute to the indomitible spirit of the people of
Manchester, England.

A great post Luke. A great reading of that Oasis song as well.
I believe we must, and are in fact obligated to discuss and face
tragedy. No matter who it makes uncomfortable.
Simply ignoring painful,horrific happenings does no good
whatsoever. If we discuss them, it helps to clear the smoke from
the battlefield..So to speak. Sometimes you have to reopen a
wound to clean it, or it will fester.
Nothing is off limits here...Posts will stay up
regardless...Unless a point gets reached where the Server says
time to archive some. Can't see that happening..Maybe for
years...If it does, all will be informed well in advance, and
the Archives will be readily available with the click of a
mouse.
This joint, and everything written in it will be here until I
expire, or have a month where I don't have a spare Jackson
laying around.
If I get sick I'll just make a couple of you Global moderators
and you can carry on while I die a slow, wheezing, death.

jeezuz..I just looked at the status I have received here in 'The
Basement' ... BIG BASEMENT RAT.
A title I so willingly embrace...
Be a great name for a band..
I once was called a 'rat faced, bogus mouthfuckah' by one of my
'clientele' at his sentencing hearing..
I was touched by his apt assessment of my looks and character
and wore that title as badge of honor for months afterwards.

he got 17 years without a chance of parole, he cursed out the
Judge too. :)

Cool share...and glad you're comfortable with the monikers I
decided on for the denizens of this haunt.
No one can ever be anything but a Rat here...Just upgraded
status for post counts.
You have unwittingly just named the Band name for any Collabs
that spring forth from here by the way.
