       My hunch ! The permafrost.
       By: indigo_dave Date: December 3, 2018, 6:13 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
I was wondering if the Alaska earthquakes could be related to
things thawing. Google makes this easy to inquire on. And holy
sh*t ! I found an article. It says the permafrost is beginning
to thaw in Alaska and Siberia for the first time in 11,000.
       Years.
The article has a date of March 2018.
We are in for a rough ride. In the future. Unforeseen
       consequences.

I was listening to a discussion of this very discussion on NPR
last week, prior to the earthquake. The thawing of the
permafrost could be catastrophic for areas of Alaska. The Alaska
pipeline actually runs across vast regions of terra that is
literally firma because of the permafrost. Talk about a disaster
       in the making.
I'm actually worried that we may be a lot closer to the tipping
point, environmentally, than projected as little as two years
       ago.
The Youth of this planet better get busy. Our generation cares
about these things, but those members of it that actually could
have the power to make the nessecary hard choices to spur action
       haven't the will.

Hopefully the young will vote at some point. The system doesn't
get cranking unless there are enough of the "right" people
elected. People like Ocasio-Cortez - assuming she truly is
completely ethical and motivated. Time'll tell. Only problem is
       , no time.
I read something about some theory that they could spray
sulfites (?) way up in the atmosphere. That would block out some
of the suns warming rays. What could go wrong with that ?

       :o
What could go right with it? The solution is to quit pumping out
Carbon dioxide and monoxide. I hear today on NPR that China's
burning of coal is responsible for up to 25% of the carbons
bring pumped into the atmosphere. I reckon our respective
tailpipes are responsible for a lot of it as well.
On the bright side for Texas, we produce more wind energy than
any one else on earth. We probably also have more pickups
running around than anybody else too though. ::)

rare is the time i speak with any favor about the current clown
in the oval office... but signing the legislation to make
industrial hemp once more a legal commodity in the united states
is a move towards more conscious carbon management on your
planet... of course the fracking, drilling, pipelines, relaxed
emissions standards, etc. seem to fly in the face if this so im
not sure the logic, if indeed it exists, to what end? for
now i will offer the old addage in defense of the act... even
a blind hog finds an acorn every now and again...

       First..................WELCOME BACK!!!!!
Ever so glad to see you here Bro!
Hope things are settling down for ya in Fla.
       Still thinking about a relocate?
At any rate...If ya like Christmas, I hope it's a good one for
       you.
Second.....I don't think anything Trump does is motivated by his
inner goodness. He has none. Occasionally though he can
apparently get steered into doing something correct. He probably
has a interest in a hemp company. He's only motivated by ego or
       money.

yours... may the coming year be filled with pleasant
       adventures.
ha! i hope i didnt come off as to be alluding that the fool on
the hill had an inkling of conscience or consciousness,
       unfortunately...
relocating? quite possible at this juncture... still need to
get this place up to speed again though if i expect any kind of
return on it when sold... ive got a backhoe, so im going to
start with a little storm shelter and see where it goes from
       there...

Gotta start somewhere....I've always wanted a backhoe. I watched
a guy tear down our old office with one and
       thought...Shit...That looks like fun.

ive waited patiently for the bucket, which arrived almost 6
months after the backhoe attachment... only to be grounded from
my tractor by eye surgery... the good news is my right eye is
healing nicely and so far all the new growth on the retina is
       fresh tissue... no scar tissue...
