       ...He remains the only US President I ever met. I was a kid
       doing visitations for my Civics class in High School. Me and a
       nuddy went to the Federal Building in downtown Houston. Visited
       the FBI, and while in the building decided we'd visit the office
       of our Congressional districts Rep, who was George H.W. Bush,
       really only hoping to score some pamphlets to show we'd been
       there. We introduced ourselves to the receptionist and gave her
       the explanation for our visit and she smiled and said "Hold on
       just a minute ok?". A couple of minutes later, Bush came out of
       the office and invited us in. He was a tall dude, with a great
       smile, asked us our names, where we went to school, what our
       favorite subjects were. We were both kind of taken aback that he
       would take any interest at all in us. Then he went on to explain
       what legislation he was currently working on. None of which I
       remember. I do remember leaving there extremely impressed with
       him personally.
       I remain extremely impressed with him. I'm glad he lived a long
       full life, because for an afternoon, he made me feel important.
       RIP HW. :'(

       What a nice memory.  I remember him back when he was in the
       game, so to speak.  One of that "greatest generation", who were
       hit with the possibility of a world ruled by Hitler.  He was a
       great example of a life well lived.
