Thanks for the rundown! I love build threads!
The Tele looks great!
We learn from our mistakes I guess. Chalk it all up to
experience and get on to the next one!
Glad you took up where you left off on your thread!

I'd like to post some pics of my Tele builds but I just got this
laptop the other day and don't have any pics on it yet.
Bieke, I like your work. You are one nitpicky builder---I like
that!

If you decide to post that up Dano, do it in a fresh thread and
I'll repost it as a sticky so we can go back to it easily.

Working on transferring pics off the old broken laptop onto this
one. If I can't figure it out, I'll take new pics.

I enjoy repairing and modifying instruments, and assembling them
from parts I gather from here & there. Perhaps you're right,
"builder" is not the correct term. I don't produce my own bodies
or necks or anything like that (I would if I had the space and
the tooling), so I'm not building anything. "Assembler" or
"technician" would be more accurate.
A lot of the parts I work with are CHEAP---there's no better
term to describe them. For instance---I bought three Squier
strats from a local pawn shop for $125. One worked, one kinda
worked, one didn't work at all. They all got refinished, frets
gone over, set up. The best one got upgraded electronics and
hardware. The other two were just repaired and made to play the
best they could.
One got traded for a big load of firewood. One was sold for
$150. I might keep the best one. These are typical of what I do.
I also do some higher-quality stuff, but most of it is cheap
shit. I don't make any money at it. I do it because it pleases
me :)
