       Snow....
By: AJ Date: December 8, 2017, 6:44 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Crazy....The Abode and vehicles were covered in about 3" of snow
this morning. Nuts. It every rarely snows here. it's cold as
shit, but the Sun came out about 3 this afternoon and all the
snow is gone. A trip while it lasted though. The Wife and The
Lad were thrilled, although The Lad's joy was nearly eclipsed by
the worry for his plants...He spent about 2 hours last night
covered them all and even rigging up Christmas lights under
       tarps and the like.
He changed his major from Microbiology to Botany last year. I
told him if he ever finds a girl and lavishes the care and
affection he has for plants on her, she'll never leave him. He
didn't see the humor in it though.... ;)

They sent us home early from work today. My wife wanted to go to
       Target and immediately regretted it.

The snow. There wasn’t a crowd. When it snows in Georgia, the
roads are dead. My truck was only able to handle it because of 4
wheel drive. We don’t have any preventative measures or fixes
for snow when it comes to transportation. I gained some skill
driving in Virginia during the winter, but once you start
       sliding, it’s luck.
And my wife wasn’t very supportive of my driving despite that
she was the one who wanted me to drive us to Target.

       BWAHAHAHA!
I didn't know you'd lived in Virginia?? I've only been there
once..When my Wife and I drove to D.C....Drove through the
Shenandoah Valley and on the Blue Ridge Parkway on the way
home...Some of the most beautiful country either one of us ever
       saw....
I didn't know it had also snowed in Georgia! All we have down
here for freezes and snows is they salt the overpasses and
bridges. (Many of both) They didn't do any of that last night
, but it wasn't really a big freeze event, just a anomaly of
Gulf Humidity and low temperatures. Lotta snow, but the temps
dropped so rapidly that the ground temps never really reached
the kind of levels or lasted long enough to freeze the precip on
       infrastructure that transportation utilize.
Funny, but the Coast got, by and large, more snow than we
did...Scarcely 50 miles from it. And we got three inches at my
       shack...
4 wheel drive huh? Cool. The Lad's rig has 4 wheel drive, but he
had neither work nor classes today. Irony. He finally has an
excuse to engage it, yet has no where to go.....
If your Wife already is giving you grief about your
driving................Welcome to to the Club Brother.....If
she's taking issue with it now, that will never change. Trust
       Uncle Joe on this.....

Down in Orlando we got rain and a cold front. The windows in my
house are fogged up. There is cloudiness and a damp rain threat
left. I'm hoping it all leaves sometime today so that I can get
       in a brisk walk later.
Up in Asheville NC, not so far from Atlanta, my sister got
       several inches of snow.

My ex was from Virginia. I spent summer and winter holidays up
       there for years.
We woke up without power this morning.
