He wanted a greenhouse...But he thinks he's gonna maybe get one
of the cheap tent like ones. He's all about the Botany these
       days.

:) Na...No magic flowers for him...His idea of high is some
fresh sushi and a Dungeons and Dragons game with friends over
       the Interwebs.

I actually had a conversation with him regarding the principles
behind the concepts several months ago...He being the prime
lecturer and I the student in the conversation.
I also remember saying, "We need more land don't we?".
He's amassed quite a collection of plants. As well as turning
some of my wife's houseplants into thriving behemoths. A couple
of Venus flytraps that have thrived, scavenging for proteins on
their own. Several flies and pillbugs on the patio have fallen
       prey to their Circe-like seductions.
       Quite an adaptation for survival.
       The Lad amazes me really.

Well, the Lad and I got the foundation stones set, the 4x4 frame
built and anchored, and began assembly of the Greenhouse today.
Until our fingers got too numb to hold bolts and nuts anymore.
Ridiculously cold here today. Will be colder tomorrow but he has
to go back to work Thursday and I on Friday so we're resolved to
get this thing done tomorrow. He's anxious to move his plants
in. We have a small heater we will run a extension cord to until
I can get some conduit run to it, with a receptacle. He's
researching solar lighting in tandem with a battery system for
evening when he wants to putter after hours but I think that's a
green, but impractical idea. An LED light system wouldn't take
that much off the grid...Plus if he wants to incorporate a grow
lighting scheme he'd need a more robust power source I think.
However...this is his thing. I'll get him a water line to the
Greenhouse for him with a spigot and leave him to his endeavor.
We had a capital time building today, even though we were
freezing. I'm grateful that I'm at that point in life where I
have all the tools I need to do just about anything.

Nice bonding time too. I'm impressed with your industry and
skill. I'd have to have someone put it together with me
       assisting.

Thank you David, but frankly, had I the extra cash to pay some
guys to do it for us, I'd pay 'em. It's fucking cold outside.
Besides, it ain't rocket science anyway. We laid down some
concrete blocks, shoveled a bit to keep it all level. Then laid
out what is essentially a square with treated 4x4's. Drilled
pilot holes, then ran long lag screws in with a impact driver.
Now we're assembling the greenhouse with the instructions.
The Lad and I work well together, we always have.. :)
