...The Luthier called me today and said he'd finished and
installed the new nut and just wanted to double check with me on
the wiring mods I wanted done. Should have Baby back in my hands
       by the weekend!
       Stoked!

Went in to Houston this morning and picked up the Strat. She
hasn't looked or played so well in eons. Ended up hanging out
with Neil for over an hour. Played a couple of the guitars he's
built and they are absolutely beautiful and play like butter. If
I'd had $1100-$1800 to blow I'd have bought one. One, was a
single cutaway, a hollowbody that looked like a solid body.
Three pickups and a Bigsby. A real beauty and a great player.
I attached a picture of it(Taken by someone else).
I couldn't believe the work he did on my Strat for no more money
than he wanted. When I took it in, the nut was broken, I'd done
all sorts of fucked up pickup replacement work. He made a new
bone nut for the guitar, pulled off the third party pickguard,
re-installed my original neck and mid pickups, installed a
DiMarzio tone Zone mini humbucker on the bridge, wired it up to
a push pull tone knob for coil splitting, restrung and setup the
guitar. When I went in I took $300 thinking I'd owe him more
when I went back. I gave him a hundred dollars when I dropped it
       off...When i picked it up he said I owed $5......So for $105
this guy did all this work...And I made a friend for life I
       think....What a deal! And quite a guy!
