Firefox disables Java by default.
If the chat window is Java based, that's likely the culprit.

I'll assume you and Bucky figured out the snafu Dinks....Have
you a workaround for it? I finally got logged into
Create-a-Forum's help pages...Which were not much help at all.
Wish I had more knowledge about all this...All I want to do is
talk with my friends.....

Yeah, I use Firefox too. I have Java enabled along with Adobe.

Sometime ago Firefox started disabling Java, citing it a
security issue.
I just never bothered to re-enable it because I didn't need it
(until now, that is).
I'll install it in the next few days when I get a minute.

strange, I have java enabled
but the chat no worky
when I click on Chat, window pops up and it already says
Username invalid even though I have not put anything in yet

You don’t have to log into the chat if you’re already logged
into the forum.
Try clearing your cache.

Make sure you don't block pop-ups for this site, because it
opens in a new window. It requires Flash as well.
