But I wouldn’t be anywhere without my Digitech RP-150. It’s
outdated, yet works and sounds fantastic. I’m not a fan of
clumping analog pedals together on a board.

I hear ya....I do get a kick out of seeing the outrageous
massing of pedals on boards that guys post on TGP and HC's
guitar forums though. I don't know how they manage the footwork
involved with utilizing them.
And I can only imagine the hiss involved in having all that
stuff chained together, polarity problems and the like,

It’s akin to having a wall of amps. I get that tube amps sound
great, but modeling negates the need for so many.

Nevertheless, I think as a decorating scheme, a Wall Of Amps
would truly be a nice touch.

Thank you very much Dave. Yeah, it's all me....Quite a while
ago....I've lost that upper register vocally now...

Here's another old tune of mine...4 track, hence the hiss. Was
going for a genuine blues tune but the wry lyrics kind of blow
that deal...Recorded during the Reagan Era...Dave will pick up
on that from one of the lines near the end, but perhaps not you
others...Wish I could redo the drums.

First thought, you've got that throat thing happening. Like
Johnny Winter shouting "rock and rolllll". I can't do that. My
compliments dude. I don't like the drums either. I've just
decided that I'm going to forget about trying to replicate a
conventional drum set. If someone doesn't like it for that
reason, so be it. But I was amazed by you Dylan impression.
Sounds like him. Your voice sounds good many times. I hope you
sing regularly these days. Keep that muscle up. I gotta go sing
some bluesy Beatles in a minute.
But...
For me Dylan's golden period might be all that Subterranean
Blues, Like A Rolling Stone, Just Like A Woman etc. stuff. But
my first album by him was "The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan" - his
second Columbia album. And I've played (on Amazon Prime music)
"With God On Our Side" twice today (from "Another Side of Bob
Dylan"). I've had an ongoing online dispute with my old friend
Bob in Dallas over Dylan's singing in recent years. I say call
a spade a spade. I say his voice is way in decline. One reviewer
called it tubercular phlegm in his throat. I just don't
believe in blind adoration. Admire the art - don't worship the
artist. If he were just some 75 year old bar band veteran
singing like he does - no one would pay him any mind. Now that
he's in his old age, he ought to write words. Maybe recite them
in concert. But for fuck's sake, don't murder melodies !

Bob did a a album of standards, I believe last year. He went on
the road with it. I saw him perform on I think a Late night show
and it was both sad and laughable.
He's not a crooner, by anyone's definition.
He's still a pretty good guitar player though. But his best work
is behind him to be sure, at least vocally. Lyrically too I
would guess....I haven't read any lyrics he's written in at
least 20 years...I may be wrong there...He doesn't get airplay
anywhere except Pacifica every now and then.
Thanks for the compliments though Dave. ;D
