       I lubs Teles
had lots, sold all but my 1972 Tele
and currently am building a partscaster Tele, building a mix of
       a Nocaster/Blackguard/52 Tele
oh well, not goind to be a faithful reproduction of any of
those, it will looke like a 52 Tele, but with a different neck
       shape
found a sweet deal on an Allparts baseball neck as used on the
Nocasters, found a nice butterscotch nitro finished Warmoth body
ordered some hardware, still had some hardware that I swapped or
       stripped from previous Teles
put a lowball offer on a set of Fred Stuart Blackguard Tele
pups, if that doesn't work I still have a pair of vintage Tele
style Tonerider pups that I can drop in
but really want to fit those Fred Stuart pups
hmmm, maybe I will have to take him up on his offer
       >:(

a picture of that when you finish it ..Tele porn to be sure. :)

now it's just a pile of parts and a body and neck
just got a reply from that local dude who is selling a Fred
Stuart Tele pickup set, he accepted my offer
hard to get at this side of the pond
hmm, if it all works out, I can start putting it together this
       weekend
headstock needs a refin, so this normally takes a couple of
       weeks to cure
but will post a pic of it when it's done
it will look like just like a 52 Tele
       (that's the plan)

There was a set set of new Stuart Blackguards for sale on
Reverb..250 USD awhike back but I think the listing ended..
new in the box they go for 275.00 plus shipping?
I played the American Fender 52 tele while trying them
out..they wanted $1799 back then..think they are up to $1999
now..beautiful, pickups and neck were amazing..they through in a
more modern wiring kit if you wanted to switch...
Much as I loved it I was sticking to my 1500 dollar limit for a
single purchase back then..I think my MIM Tele was about 600
       hundred..
I never heard of Warmoth bodies..got to look them up..
What is the guy asking for the Blackguards...?
I had a nabe who did a tele build and he added the
       'B-Bender'...
he is really good with nitro finishes..beautiful work.
He was good to have around..he would do set ups for me, never
would take any money..but he and his girlfriend had a fight..she
threw him out..still has all his refinish tools, pickups, guitar
necks and bodies etc in a part of her garage that he had set his
       shop up in.
She asked me recently if I wanted any of his stuff...I declined,
but told her I would try to contact him before she started
cleaning house..or would hold his stuff for him at my place.
I know he used some tone rider PUs on one of his builds.
