the difference is, our wankers can't walk into a shop and buy a

I watched the comedians videos Nick. He makes some valid points,
to be sure. Not going to argue with that. He told a lot of
truths, got a lot of laughs.
I'm not going to argue his points with him or you.
Some folks that lived on my street...Renters, not homeowners.
I'd been kind of watching them to be honest. A lot of traffic,
way too much traffic to my eyes. I think there was drugs being
dealt, but have only my opinion there. Anyway, there was 3
generations living there. Back in August, the older woman, the
Grandma, was at home alone when 2 young men entered the home and
started ransacking it. The Grandma confronted them and they
brandished guns, the Grandma produced one of her own, gunfire
was exchanged and the burglars/gunmen left...One collapsed in
the front yard and died. There still hasn't been a public
disclosure of the nitty gritty on this. I suspect the Grandkids
were dealing dope and the burglars were in fact, in search of
       drugs/money. That's not a world that I'm a part of.
My question for you is this.....No gun...Grandma dead, Burglar
alive? Gun, Grandma alive, burglar dead. Which outcome do you
       find more palatable?

I don't have to give a pass to them Nick. Owning a gun doesn't
make you a lunatic. It doesn't make you a lunatic unless you
achieve lunacy through it. Owning a gun does not make you crazy.
It doesn't make you safe either, granted. It can however give
you an ever so slight edge against a lunatic. Sometimes...Not a
lunatic in an airplane, or with a bomb in a concert, or a
lunatic with a knife if you're a Bobby, or a gambler with an
       arsenal.

no guns, no deaths. it's not difficult jim.
think the scenario through again, imagining the grandma didn't
have a gun... she loses some property, but nobody dies. it
happens every day in the uk, and the burglars are usually caught
and sent to prison. unless you're suggesting the burglars would
       have shot at her anyway?
the fact you acknowledge the points made by the comedian but
refuse to discuss them is the main problem.

I just want to point out that many people, especially teens,
have made bombs in their own homes. In the Bowling For Columbine
docu, Michael Moore interviewed a guy who was put on a list for
owning the Anarchist’s Handbook and producing small explosives
on his own property. He also interviews Timothy McVie, who is
linked to the unibomber. In fact, Klebold and Harris would’ve
done much more damage if all of their explosives worked. Some of
them did go off, so it’s a crap shoot of luck that they didn’t
kill more people with readily available chemicals.
A few years ago, some guy went after a professor with a gun and
failed to kill him, but there was an internet clip of the almost
comical interaction of the professor dodging bullets by hiding
behind a tree. A woman I knew in Poland decried American gun
laws. I pointed out the shooter would’ve had a better chance if
he simply went after the guy with a knife. Most people aren’t
       marksmen.
And I’ll never forget the strange man who murdered several
nurses in their shared home with a single knife in the sixties.
I think it was in Texas. Guy went to prison, became a bitch, and
       took hormones to grow breasts.
For me, guns aren’t the problem. People are. I agree guns make
it easier, but people will find a way to cause terror. I
remember after 9/11, a terrorist attack where men seized planes
with box cutters, people wanted us to just blow the middle east
off the map. It’s a serious symptom of our times and mindset.
Where is fancy bread? In the heart or in the head?

your government literally started a war after that, and
introduced intense security procedures at airports. more
american lives are lost EVERY YEAR from domestic gun violence
than those that were lost on 9/11, yet your government do
       NOTHING about it
