What is the rule on trading future draft picks?

Allowed, just going by whatever 2k gives you so like that
Celtics trade with Brandan Wright to suns it says they got a 1st
rounder but its highly protected so 2k gives you the 2 2nd
rounders like it will more than likely turn into.

Just to clarify. I do have the Lakers pick (Top 5 Protected) for
the 2015 draft. Does that mean that I would not have it IF it
lands between 1-5 pick by the draft time? Or would I keep it as
2k doesn't follow those trade conditions for draft picks?

That ones tough, cause it's such a valuable pick.
I'm gonna have to think about that and would love feedback on
it.

I don't have problem with losing the pick, I want it to be more
realistic. But that might affect other teams that own protected
picks. Would love to see some future trades involving protected
picks (based on the negotiation between the gms involve) though.

Yeah its tough with protected picks now but will be cool on user
trades...cause we can keep a spreadsheet to keep track.

I know the Wright one is there.
It's 2 2nd rounders from Minnesota cause thats what it will
become in real life cause Minnesota won't be giving you there
first rounder cause its top 12 protected....they won't be that
good.

I'd say if Lakers pick is top 5 let them have it IMO

I agree, that's a pretty valuable pick. If they end up top-5 let
them have it. There are certain picks that have all kinds of
protections and conditions but that ones pretty simple. It's
also game-changing for LA haha
