Owning a car in Thailand

Like having big muscles, owning a car means you've made it in
life. Therefore I own several. The bint wants a BMW but she
can't have one though.
Only peasants walk and cycle and use public transport. I look
down my nose at them when I drive by.

So you're in debt. How much do you pay a month?

Doesn't that conflict with your environmental warrior posts? Ya
know, owning several cars = a large carbon footprint
What exactly have you done to reduce your carbon footprint?

Hey Flaps!
You want to project yourself as a Man's Man, right?
Well then, you gotta get a TRUCK, man. Preferably one that's
jacked up on some serious suspension with a snorkel to show the
world a little nam phuem doesn't bother you! 555

He took your advice but still missed the mark. He has a dinky
toy datsun truck. 2wd automatic. Now he's gotta stick it in a
container and do an out of country inspection on it. Our of
province inspections are bad enough. Couldn't imagine an out of
country

^The cost of shipping has skyrocketed over the last year.
Sending a cheap vehicle to NZ would cost more than buying the
equivalent junker over there. Expect to see it up for sale on a
Chiang Mai Facebook forum shortly (no pun intended) “as new, one
careful owner”.

You can thank good 'ol Yingluck and her commie/progressive
government for the shear numbers of used cars & trucks sitting
unsold on lots all over LOS.

Just to keep you up to date Flaps I'm actually too tall to pick
kiwifruit, occupational health and safety wouldn't allow
it...bad back, that sort of thing
However it would be an ideal job for a short-arse like you
