Takeover of Twitter

Elon Musk has used Saudi money to buy Twitter. Is shutting down
a critical social media network really worth 44 billion dollars?
Hopefully it will bite both of them in the arse as Musk didn’t
get former Twitter CEO to sign a non competitive agreement
before the buyout. Here’s the link to the new Twitter that Jack
Dorsey is still developing.

You tool. The Saudi prince has been an investor in Twitter for
over a decade, and agreed to remain so rather than selling his
minority of shares to the majority shareholder Musk.

Does anyone actually use twitter here? I can't see the point, if
I want to see an idiot ranting and frothing at the mouth I just
head over to teakdoor
Let's be honest, before he was banned Donald Trump was the only
person worth following
He's now set up his own platform 'Truth Social' and may not be
back

Seems unlikely that Dorsey will go out of his way to devalue his
$1 billion Twitter holding.

Lots of ignorance being shown on that thread

Musk is going to revolutionise the information sector in the
same way he's revolutionised the automobile and aerospace
sectors. His plan is to do things better than Facebook, YouTube,
and Instagram in the same way he's taught lessons to long
established General Motors and NASA.

I can't see the point too, in its current format. It's currently
a niche product that appeals only to the verbose and gossip
freaks, unlike Facebook and YouTube.

A lot of people have opened accounts on Mastodon, expecting
Twitter to fall over shortly. Mastodon is not Twitter and is
full of polite people discussing intelligent topics without
insulting each other.

Disagree here,
First Dorsey is a fraud, got lucky with Twitter and now is
fucking up everything he touches, see Square
Elon has a true vision, and is succeeding in a very strange way
in all those projects, which is the true disruption that we need
Twitter is awesome, quite active there these days, feels like
the early days of online forums circa 1997 now that Elon took
over, a lot of interesting topics discussion going on
Mastodon is a complete disgrace, the few who migrated there got
banned after a few days by the TV style mods aka 'The Dorm and
Hall Monitors', you don't want to go there for any intelligent
discussion, you will get banned by the usual PC woke followers
anyway, twitter is the place to be these days, everyone that
matters is back, including Twitter Grand Master, Trump even
though he is not posting yet :)
Needless to say I was in the first 1K to vote yes for his return
on Musk infamous post within 1 min of the poll posting ;D

Of course Butterfly, the supreme troll loves Twitter. It’s his
natural habitat. Mastodon is like a relaxed forum, trolls no
welcome.
