Queen Elizabeth II & Harry

This is starting to look serious. If it was anything treatable
she'd be on her way to hospital today rather than the entire
family heading for Balmoral.

It may be Covid. Remember Boris shook hands with her a couple of
days ago.

It's incredible that she chose to perform her duty earlier this
week when she must have known the end was near. The bruised hand
suggest that she required strong medication to work on Tuesday.
Very strange to have a new Monarch and PM in the same week. I
think Charles will abdicate in the not too distant future in
order to avoid the expense of the coronation of an elderly king,
and to allow his middle aged heir to revitalise the monarchy.
Hard to believe that this was only three months ago

One presumes she followed the family tradition.

This is so cute and funny! I haven't seen it before.
She looks so good for her age and yes, it is hard to believe
this was three months ago.
She will be missed for sure by all.
Charles has big footsteps to fill, and he is not that well
liked.. not in comparison to the Queen.

His Buckingham Palace walkabout was an eye-opener.

Based on the content of his speech, that's not going to happen.
However, William is going to be very much his deputy rather than
his apprentice in preparation for the top job that may well be
his within a decade, and it's going to be a team-based approach
between the two of them.

The Queen was a genius. It's clear to me that she chose the day
of her death. With the jubilee passed and the new PM appointed,
she decided that it was time to reunite with Philip so refused
the medication that was painfully blackening her hand and
keeping her alive.
But why in Scotland? With the stunning TV images coming out of
Edinburgh today, and the passions of the Scots stirred towards
her, the Queen will achieve her desire that any Scotland vote on
independence will fail again.
