Top Gun: Maverick

Top Gun: Maverick just came out here in Canada last night. I
went to see it tonight and it was sooo good. I highly recommend.
I found it even better than the first one made almost 30 years
ago. Lots of action and heartfelt scenes. Quite good eye candy
for the ladies too. I tell ya, Tom Cruise hasn't really aged
that much or shall I say looks really great for his age (59).

The reviews look very good. I'll watch it after the weekend
(it's a wet weekend in Phuket and the cinema at Central Festival
is rammed accordingly).
Amazing to think that part 1 was 36 years ago.

Ya that's right, I thought I heard 30 years ago, but now I see
it was out in 1986. I almost want to go back and watch the first
one because there were a few references to the first one and I
forget a lot of it. The jet action was phenomenal. It was
amazing how they did all those scenes.

I don't understand why they didn't bring back the 1986 eye candy
lol.

Well that was her decision to not go back. Jennifer Connelly
played the actress who was Kelly and did a fine job. She has
aged well, as did Cruise.

Everyone on the original movie has got fat and ugly except Tom
Cruise who looks 10 years younger than his real age. The reason
for this is he sold his soul to Scientology leader L. Ron
Hubbard in exchange for eternal youth
I'm booked in for next weekend. What I wasn't told until after
booking I get the lux lounge seating, however that goes for
double the usual price Grrrrr

Apparently on the opening four day weekend of the movie, it
broke box office records surpassing, 'Pirates of the Caribbean'
It made 156 million in four days of it's opening weekend in the
US. Pirates of the Caribbean made 153 million in 2007.

I'm pretty sure Tom has had plastic surgery. I kept saying
during the movie that he barely has changed really.
Yeah, sold his soul indeed.. lol.
What is the lux lounge? I had a reclining seat which was super
comfortable, only cost $12.99 plus tax
