The Ukraine has been a vassal state of Russia for eons and now
biden who is floundering on every front wants to go to War with
the Ruskies? Nevermind America's cities are crumbling and
inflation is raging. Food shelves empty and car jackings
rampant. Wag the Dog, eh?

It's highly possible that Russia will invade Ukraine
simultaneous to an invasion of Taiwan by China.
It does seem that these two countries are becoming closer and
are forming some sort of new USSR, the boundaries of which they
want to expand to both the west and east by reclaiming their
former lands.

Hard to say what is going to happen.
Putin holds his cards so close.
Perhaps the escalation moves are to strengthen his bargaining
power; perhaps not.

It makes sense to leave Ukraine as a buffer state between east
and west in the same way Thailand kept the British and French
apart back in the day.
It can't be that difficult to come up with a way of doing it
that guarantees Ukraine's security, without it having to become
part of either NATO or Russia.
