June Spencer, who played Peggy Woolley in The Archers, has died
at the age of 105. She retired in 2022. I have been listening to
the programme since I was a year old in 1951.

The Archers is the world's longest-running soap opera. We've
also got the world's longest running TV soap (Coronation
Street), children's programme (Blue Peter), gardening programme
(Gardeners' Question Time), TV gardening programme (Gardener's
World) and current affairs programme (Panorama).

We are very proud of our lad, who will be 40 in March, where
have the years gone? He was 16 months old when we adopted him.
He is so very kind and loving everyone, even to a chap with
severe autism in his care home of whom the staff were afraid.
Our son forgave him for throwing a cup of tea at his face,
fortunately it wasn't too hot, but even so it was painful! :o
That man is no longer living in our son's care home thank
       goodness.
