That is the right way, Leslie.
I'm glad you were given a calendar for Advent.
I wonder why the lady cried after Mass, bless her.

This morning I have just read The Catholic Thing written by a
retired journalist whose apartment I drank tea in a couple of
months ago. In a poor area of Toronto. However, the Oratory is
fairly close, and so is Lake Ontario. So he gets spiritual
benefits not easily available in other parts of town. Our
parish priest at All Saints talked about retirement yesterday.
He had the Grade School children at Mass on Wednesday. And they
were well behaved from Grades one to eight.
The Toronto Catholic School Board has just elected our trustee
for ward 2 as Vice Chair.
A disastrous appointment in my view.

Good morning, Leslie. I am all ears! Please tell us why he or
she is a disastrous choice for Chair of Vice?

Del Dominico is our Catholic trustee for Ward 2 of the TCDSB and
was voted in as VIce-Chair , helped by Nancy Crawford who
successfully became Chair. Del Dominco makes no secret of the
fact that he does not approve of all Catholic teaching in his
       agreement with LGBTQ+ ideology.
We already have a real Catholic trustee being persecuted for his
beliefs on the board for something he said years ago (or is
alleged to have said on religious doctrine) in conversation with
a woke junior school girl trustee who took it to the highest
level. This man is opposing the removal of his teachers licence.
He was not teaching at the time and spent his career as an
accountant CPA,CA for the City of Toronto.
He doesnt need a teachers licence...I am told the Minister of
Education Mr. Lecce MPP is no fan of this Scarborough
       accountant.
We have had enough of woke Catholics directing policy in the
       TCDSB.

Our new archbishop of Toronto is asking the Catholic community
to share thoughts and ideas regarding future pastoral planning
       in the Archdiocese of Toronto.
According to the gospel the bishops of the church are supposed
to teach the population about Christianity. Not the other way
       around!
For starters very few Catholics have been taught Catholicism
since Vatican 2, there are no adequate teaching guidelines. Many
Catholics don't know what they are talking about, and it these
who will come forward with bad ideas.

After a talk with my wife I decided I would send a copy of my
previous post to Fr Chris Cauchi, pastor at Our Lady Of Sorrows
       Church, Etobicoke.
You are the only ones I write to on church subjects as a rule.
But, I am going to change that.
I wonder if he will reply?

Fr.Cauchi has not replied. I did not expect a reply. We have
some new people at Church this Christmas time. Some don't know
when to sit and stand during Mass. They have little boys and
girls, some of them; who turn around and stare at you. ;D

Considering the problems that the Church has, few seem to have
stopped going to the 9:30 a.m.Mass. Many in the prime of youth
or a litte later, plus children- who go downstairs so as to not
       interupt things.
We have a Pope? who now wants to bless "sin" in the form of same
sex marriage or union. Read Romans 1 versus 20 onwards to see
how wrong he is, That has never been done in the over 2,000 year
old history of the Roman Catholic Church. It has caused great
division in the world wide Church.
Financially, we collected well over our annual target , 112% of
it, for Share Life. The total raised was $493,632,02 , not bad
for one Church for one year.

Oh Leslie, Romans was written by St Paul and he was a man of his
time. Less was known back then. Our Lord would not have created
homosexuals, a small proportion of the human race, if He didn't
believe they could form valid relationships. It is good that
they now no longer have to hide. Pope Francis obviously
recognises this, he is not encouraging them, he is actually
       quite cautious:
