I refuse to answer your question Lyn, for reasons of my own.

That's OK, Leslie, I won't press.
I just want to say I will always be happy with a, "I'm not sure,
can't remember", answer because I am only too aware of how we
pick up snippets of information from the media as well as from
people we encounter in real life; they are stored in the
subconscious and pop up when a particular subject arises. I
suppose that's what you'd call 'a bee in the bonnet', :-). I
get those occasionally and am never sure whether to call a
registered beekeeper or Rentoki.

I now think I should have waited to June 26th to cast my vote
for mayor because presently there are too many candidates for
the office and that probably results in a win for Chow with 30%
according to polls, dubious or not. When the voting day comes
closer, I expect some of those serious candidates seen on TV
will drop out, leaving their support for the current favorites
who are presently, Chow, Saunders and Furey.
If that happens either Furey or Saunders will become Mayor, I
predict.
That will be good for Toronto as both have reasonable policies.
We will see what happens.

Parents are the new deplorable thinks Trudeau. Parents are the
new right wing fanatics for wanting to know what their children
are being taught in grade school. Two articles in the National
Post today discuss the subject. One by Sabrina Maddeaux and the
other by Rex Murphy.
I have no time to write further. Look it up if interested.

I can anticipate a lot of what they say, Leslie, but will look
them up anyway and see what else there is.
I can't find anything from Rex Murphy in the National Post since
April this year but I might if I google him rather than the
National Post. I did that with this lady, Sabrina Maddeaux, and
found quite a lot about her including the article in the
National Post that you mentioned (which I find to be very
sensible):

Found Rex Murphy and the article. Agree with much of it.
They'll both have a lot of support with that issue.

If Trudeau had been born in China with his autocratic Marxian
ideals he would be in charge of it by now...But, not for long as
he would bankrupt the country because of his lack of managerial
skills.

:-) "...autocratic Marxian ideals..." :-). Now I've heard it
all, wonder if anyone has told Trudeau.

I wouldn't call him Marxian (or a Marxist), although his father
Pierre came near to that. He's pretty left-wing, though, and
wokishly liberal in most of his policies. He's basically a
grinning dunderhead and really not up to the job, as Leslie
suggested in relation to his lack of managerial (and real prime
ministerial) abilities. He's a political pygmy compared with
giants like Diefenbaker, Mulroney and Harper.

Trudeau copies the views of his father. The saying is true, that
the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Trudeau is arrogant
and allows no difference of opinion on wokism, and LGBTQ from
himself. No debate is possible with him on these subjects.

I wouldn't know, Leslie, never tried to engage Trudeau in debate
(and he may not even know how to debate*).
It is good to know that we in the UK are not the only people to
have political pygmies in charge of us, Greg!
*Later: I have been thinking about debate/discussion recently,
it appears to be a lost art as far as many people are concerned.
I will add to what I said about Trudeau: he may never have
learned the art of debate, only of superficial talk. He's 51 so
just in the age group to fit that category. If he was a few
years older he might be a great orator - but we'll never know
:-).
