Actually, it isn't a slang word. It's a word from Indian
religions nd not entirely appropriate here.

I had my car service and MOT'd today, the garage is only just
down the main road which is handy. The car is in good order and
only cost me £172.00, which isn't too bad. :)

Probably the car wanted only a 'oil and grease' job Roses.
In the past before the banks insisted on going digital which
means not sending you T5 slips each year for income tax
purposes, things were much simpler. Now when doing my tax return
I have to open the e services for investment income on the
computer, copy the figures down by pen and paper, or print them
and copy again onto the Turbotax app details, by hand . I do
this for three banks which have gone digital making my job twice
as hard as it used to be.
The computer is becoming a pain to me.

Good morning busy or sleepy heads. No one is on thaddeans this
morning, so I will start the day with a hopeful if not cheerful
note. The BBC world News had such a statement this morning, by
showing an Iraqui individual living in England, hoping to get
his family over from Iraq. He talks to them and sees them daily
on FaceTime using an iPhone. This man drives a car after losing
his arms using his feet. He lost his arms in Iraq, was sent to
England eventually and lives happily there using feet for hands,
and walking about.

Thaddeans, a chairde Lá Fhéile Pádraig Sona Daoibh!.
For the day that's in it.
St Patrick has to be the best known and celebrated Saint of all
time, today in almost every city in the world millions of people
are celebrating in green.
A few years ago we were in Rome having breakfast in our hotel
and the waiter asked in broken English 'is St Patrick Catholic'
I wonder if Leslie knows 😉

That assertion is very debatable, Val. There are many other
saints of the Catholic Church with that claim, but perhaps whose
names have not passed into popular culture as a name like
Patrick has (Pat, Paddy, etc.) And who are all these millions of
people around the world celebrating in green (presumably not to
be confused with the ecological movement)? All of them
descendents of Irish emigrants, most whom went to America
anyway? Don't think so. Just at best a chance or excuse to
escape present troubles and get pissed (best on Guinness or
single malt.)
And that's about it, mo chara... ;)
