I got a phone call this afternoon from the hospital asking me to
in for an Xray of my chest. We did so, my wife and I. I did not
request a moveable chair as did many patients and I was unable
to walk the last few steps on the way out. Shell shock ;D as I
just paid $16.35 for less than an hours parking. And I had
trouble getting the ticket out of the damned machine at the
hospital entrance.
My purpose at this hospital ,with no notice ,was to go
immediately and have the X rays done. I was there after nearly
an hours driving. After the Xray the woman doctor (Mary says she
is a cardiologist) saw me and said "Do you remember me? I was
the first person you saw when you first arrived. I said No. From
that time on she talked mainly to my wife ignoring me. I mean if
you cannot breathe and they think you have pneumonia : In that
state I was lucky to remember my health card and my date of
birth.
The cardiologist did point to the TV screens - one of the Xray
taken when I arrived and one now,there was less white bone like
color on my second X ray, which is good and I,was told I was
getting better.
The cardiologist said to see her again in three months for a CT.
(Again! I have had everything they can do to me already )
1ncluding receiving a new heart valve.From an animal.
On the way home I joked that the doctor I saw was a veterinary
surgeon.

I was in Church for morning Mass and was unable to wAlk and had
to borrow a wheel chair. I am:home noW rEsting .Could be a small
stroke on right side.'

Oh Leslie, I am sorry. Is your doctor coming out to check you
over? I'm glad you're at home and hope you can get your legs
moving.

Yes I can walk, very slowly, with cane.

Indeed! Not only us, though. The hotline between the Vatican and
Toronto has been buzzing these days! ;)
