       Cell phones in the Classroom

       One teacher was on the air this early morning saying that
       banning cell phones in her classroom led to a death threat from
       a student in the middle of a test. He wanted to phone his mother
       she also witnessed parents bangng on windows, upset because of
       rules regarding cell phones  being confiscated by the school.
       Each Province has its own rules re cell phones use in school.
       Surely the UK has similar problems, it cannot be just Canada
       alone.
       From my own two years teaching full time in a drop out high
       school  - before cell phones-where I had discipline problems and
       had a starters pistol fired at me in the math class. I can say
       now, that I got absolutely no support from administration,
       Nothing happened to that adolescent with the gun.  I blamed
       myself at first, but Administration is to blame.
