       That is unspeakably horrific.  Poor child.
       It reminds me of a case in SE London a couple of years ago in
       which a young woman, a teacher, was walking home from being with
       a friend, was violently attacked and killed.  The murderer had
       deliberately travelled from where he lived in to this part of
       London, with the sole intention of murdering.
       He was quickly caught, was a known mental health patient, and
       locked up in a secure unit.  He won't get out.  The NHS mental
       health service in this country is absolute shite, not
       surprisingly good doctors are leaving it because they are so
       constrained.
       Before that there was Sarah Everard who was kidnapped while out
       walking by an off duty policeman of all things, who offered her
       a lift, drove her a long way away, kept her captive where she
       was submitted to a dreadful ordeal before being murdered.
       It doesn't bear thinking about.
