We are forgetting the influence of Christianity . I mean Vienna
was nearly captured by big Moslem forces sometime in the 17h
century and fortunately they were soundly defeated by prayer and
the king of Poland (The battle of Vienna . 1683) otherwise we
would be Moslem today. Prayer counted . A Theistic God helped
them win. That was a religious war. No one gained territory, or
power and it is not true to suggest that every war with a
religious name is a search for power and the riches for an
elite.
The fanatical Moslems are responsible for all the Middle East
wars. They start it all, and then complain when The IDF destroys
them and their communication network, after bombing Israel and
displacing thousands of Jews from Northern Israel. Now the
Israeli soldiers have been moved up to the Lebanese border with
Israel.

Yes, the Battle of Vienna was indeed a decisive turning point in
Muslim attempts to conquer Europe, as were the Battle of
Poitiers (732) under the Frankish king Charles Martel and the
sea Battle of Lepanto in 1571. Regrettably, by the time of the
former, all of Spain had fallen to Muslim hordes and would
remain so until they were expelled by the Spanish king Ferdinand
in 1492 culminating the Reconquista of Spain.
Islam is basically a religion of conquest from its beginnings in
the 7th. century, extended by the sword and led by a violent
Arabian warlord called Mohammed. To call it 'the religion of
peace' is beyond farcical (try telling that to the families of
the 9/ll victims, the victims of grooming gangs, the terrified
French residents of the various banlieue in the big cities
controlled by gangs of Muslim youths, and a host of other
examples.) There have been violent episodes in the history of
Christianity (eg. the Crusades, the conquest of Central America
and a few other isolated examples in history) but they are the
exceptions and abuses of Christ's message of peace and the way
Christianity was first preached and extended by peaceful
missionary work and not violent conquest.
Back to the Lebanon crisis, I've just watched on the news the
leader of Hizbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, in his medieval garb
delivering a fiery speech threatening revenge on Israel after
the humiliations of the last few days. Hizbollah has thousands
of missiles at its disposal, supplied by Iran, which could
overwhelm Israeli defences, but at the same time they are fully
aware of a retaliation from the IDF which could leave Lebanon in
ashes. Dangerous times...

We soon forget the evil that the Muslim so called religion of
peace has brought to the world, including the latest attacks on
Israel by Hezbollah fanatics in Lebanon.
After a displacement of 60,000 *from Northern Israel
attributable to drone attacks by Hezbollah . Why should we be
surprised that Israel fights back, and why does the media always
give unchecked stories on the air including today's BBC TV .
Maybe there is a Hezbollah 'plant' in all popular media outlets.
I for one am tired of seeing biased accounts of what is
happening in the Middle East.

Extract from a news article this morning, copied here due to
otherwise paywall problems:
"Israel killed the leader of Hezbollah’s special forces and up
to ten other senior commanders in a Beirut air strike on Friday.
IDF fighter jets struck a multi-storey building in the south of
the Lebanese capital, killing Ibrahim Aqil, who ran Hezbollah’s
Ridwan unit, during a meeting with his top lieutenants. Aqil, a
career terrorist and close confidant of Hassan Nasrallah, the
Hezbollah leader, had a $7 million bounty on his head for his
role in the bombing of the US embassy in Beirut in 1983 which
killed 63 people. He was also involved in the twin bombing
attacks on the US Marine barracks in Lebanon the same year which
killed 241 US personnel and 307 people in total.
Daniel Hagari, an IDF spokesman, said the Hezbollah commanders
had gathered underground beneath a residential building “using
civilians as a human shield”. They were planning an attack in
which they “intended to infiltrate and conquer Israeli
communities and murder innocent civilians”, Mr Hagari said.
Herzl Halevi, the IDF chief of staff, echoed his subordinate’s
claim, saying the men had been planning an “October 7” on the
northern border for years. Aqil was considered the second
highest-ranking member of Hezbollah after its leader Nasrallah.
In a speech on Thursday, Nasrallah had taunted Israel for
missing the terrorist group’s most senior commanders in earlier
pager and walkie-talkie attacks."
Justice served I would say given the man's dreadful record of
murder as well as the plans for another October 7th. in the
north of Israel. Note also the use of civilians as shields for
the terrorists, a tactic also employed by Hamas. These
terrorists care little for their own people, it seems.

After the Israeli IDF killing of the leader of Hizbollah, Hassan
Nasrallah, the hope is that the terrorist organisation has been
severely demoralised and weakened (seven other of its leading
figures and commanders have also been killed recently.) The next
few days should tell. Meanwhile, Iran must be weighing up its
next move.
