Not a subject I'm familiar with, so I had to do a lot of
guessing, and it took me ages. I spent a long time thinking the
subject was something else, even after finding my first word,
which didn't help.

So this is a subject I’m familiar with, but I’m not a natural at
unscrambling, even though, bizarrely, i got the long word early
on twice and without needing a hint! Also, ‘base’ and ‘topper’
are American variations, we call it ‘base coat’ and ‘topcoat’
this side of the pond.

I don’t know what it is with word scrambles, but I still
struggle without the occasional hint, even though I know the
category and ruled out wine and cheese quite quickly. Also, I
almost saw ‘Starmer’ in there lolollol!
