I also joined 'The Modern Milkman', Steve, but haven't ordered
from them for ages, much preferring 'Milk and More', who sell
more of a variety of things. However, two pints and a box of
eggs a week sounds fine for you. 'Milk & More' do deliver to
where I am going to live soon, I checked. I don't know if I
will carry it on there or not, depends on whether they bring
goods to the flat door or outside which could be difficult.
I'll see. I will be very near shops.
I'm sorry it is so very cold where you are, Steve, but hopefully
you have good heating.

Very dark with drizzly rain here today, 9 deg C which isn't bad
and I didn't feel chilly outside earlier. Just had the most
enormous loud thunderclap!
Bit later - pouring down with rain now.

Today, looking out of the tv room window, I barely see the top
part of the CN tower in down town Toronto, - ever so far away
from us in Etobicoke , thank goodness! We are enmeshed here with
a large park, green gardens, fir trees and the Humber river.
There is no snow and we have grey skies and one visible planet
(probably Venus although I haven't checked the star guide for
position)and the temperature appears to be hovering around 0
degrees C. I turned off the alarm and opened the front door to
confirm this fact.It is very dark at present.

It's not really cold here at the moment, 8 deg C, but very
cloudy and dark. I have to say I quite like it dark, it feels
cosy. According to the BBC forecast, we are going to have some
light rain shortly and there is a moderate breeze.
Later: It became very cold, windy and raining by early evening.

It is about the same weather here Lyn today. Rainy or dark in
the morning with a temperature rising to 8 C. It is still dark
here.
So far we have had no snow that lasts more than a few hours and
then disappears here where I live. Over in Erin where my son
lives they have had some snow, but I doubt if there is any there
today. It will have melted. I have always said that our winter
does not begin until February in Etobicoke, My wife thinks it
begins earlier: one opinion versus another!

Now Greg should have better weather than us living as he does
3,791miles or 6,101kms away from Etobicoke.
Calculated from a formula in a science book years ago called the
Great Circle Route,

Leslie's right. At the moment (2.15) we have sun in blue skies
with a temperature around 15º and forecast to rise to around 20º
midweek.

That sounds very pleasant, Greg.
I just stepped outside and it is less dark with a temperature of
11degC so not bad at all for December.

Considering that it's only five days to the solstice, it's been
lovely today: blue skies, very little cloud, light breeze, mild.
