The rain didn't come to much, and soon stopped, but it's cooler
than of late.

It’s been scorching hot all week here in London. Interestingly,
people I know that come from hot countries all seem to find
London heat much harder to bear. Something to do with the
humidity and that houses here are built to retain heat. And then
there is the Central Line, I literally dont use that one between
June and September lol

The sky is clearing here in Etobicoke. It is early morning and
the sun has not risen yet. For the first time since the start of
this years forest fires I can see a star.
The constellation Orion is barely visible from my TV room window
this morning, but I can see Rigel and Betelgeuse. It looks like
being a good day with sunshine today.

Overcast, windless, dry. Warm but not hot. Very pleasant, all in
all.

After an endless long, hot summer, the hottest in modern
records, temperatures are finally starting to go down here and
we can now begin to enjoy a belated autumn.
As for the UK, apparently there has been a devastating storm
which has resulted in fatalities. (Any comments from UK forum
members?)

Storm Babet didn't make it as far as Hertfordshire. We have had
very clement weather for the last few days. Today is chillier,
but still rather nice.
