I saw an Indian woman in a Sahari in St Albans, but I haven't
seen any Saharan dust.

Lucky you, relatives of mine have had problems with it too and
they live in different parts of the country and also my youngest
sister who lives in my home island.

It's dawning cloudless and windless, as for the last few says,
but there may be thunderstorms and heavy rain later.

It unpleasantly warm and overcast at present, thunderstorms are
predicted here for tomorrow and Monday. I have always been
phobic and them since I was a small child, and even more so now
since I was nearly struck by lightning about 20 years ago.

I love thunderstorms, so dramatic with dark louring clouds,
powerful crashes of thunder and flashes of lightning. One can
understand why primitive peoples thought they were an expression
of the anger of the gods.

ago." If the expression 'lightning never strikes twice in the
same place' also applies to people, you should have nothing to
worry about.

My mother was thrown across the room in the 50s when she was on
the phone and lightning struck the cable. The upstairs loo in my
family home was demolished by a falling chimney when it was
struck by lightning. One of my sisters had just come out of
there!
I remove the cable from the TV if there is any threat of
thunderstorms.

Like Greg, I love a good thunderstorm. My closest escape was
40-odd years ago, when I was out in one. I was on a road with
woodland on one side, and suddenly there was a very loud crack,
like a gun being fired next to my ear, and at the same moment a
dazzling flash. It must have hit a tree yards away.

It is marginally cooler today, but my husband and I would like
it much cooler, preferably in the mid teens. So far no
thunderstorms, but the threat is still there.
