I saw some of the scenes on my BBC app. I hope the riders and
anyone else are ok and no one is badly hurt. As an animal lover
and keen equestrian, it was heartbreaking to see these horses in
full flight mode, and very distressing to see the evidently
injured white horse. I had to stop watching the footage. I heard
some were found 5 miles away. Galloping on tarmac is very bad
for horses legs also and can cause splints. These horses may not
be able to work again.

Just read the Guardian article. Glad the humans are ok, but
devastated about the poor horses. For all their size and
strength, horses are easily scared, being prey animals, and
structurally actually quite frail. I hope and pray they survive
and may be retired to peaceful pastures.

I feel as you do, gwinnie, and sincerely hope the horses are all
right. It was a terrible thing to happen.
Steve, the 'Crazy Horses' video was inappropriate, in poor
taste. You are in a 'funny' mood, not Haha funny; I thought
that when you posted the pork picture after I mentioned Passover
yesterday.
