       Indeed, Bev.
       As I think I've mentioned before, Dimitri Shostakovich is one of
       my favourite twentieth century classical composers. Here's his
       delightful Waltz No. 2 which, unlike most waltzes (eg. the
       Strauss family), has a sad, melancholic feel to it, perhaps
       reflected in the face of the composer who spent much of his life
       in fear of Stalin and possible arrest. (He would outlive Stalin,
       wno died in 1953, by twenty-two years.) Perhaps this is
       reflected in the photo.
