       Radio

I find religious news too upsetting and am turning to Science. I
do or did have an Amateur Service Radio Station Licence between
       April 1995 and March 1996. VE3xxx
( the last three digits are not shown because from them you can
       find out my address)
I could still talk on some amateur frequencies as I have passed
all the government tests including Morse. (No longer required).
Problem is I no longer have a transceiver.
And so, revising radio frequencies and radio itself has become a
recent hobby of mine. heterodyning, mixing a RF amplified signal
with the beat of a local oscillator and understanding it is top
priority. It beats reading disastrous religious news from my
       Catholic Church leaders.

Today I rejoined the RAC, and will receive paper copies of their
       4 times a year publications.

I received my first copy of The Canadian Amateur for
July/August 2024, which pleases me. It took them long enough!,
but I accept that - we are all in our seventies and eighties and
nineties. The technical items are not too technical, and I look
       forward to enjoying them.
As I wrote previously this is about amateur radio. in Canada.
