Building a DIY server, Raspberry Pi

I was wondering if its possible to build a DIY Brandmeister,
TGIF server using a Raspberry Pi or in my
case I have a Synology 2TB server. This would be a very low end
       type.
No bells and whistles, a single Talk Group is all I would need
but it would have to be accessed
via a MMDVM or similar hotspot. If this could happen I would
have to know how you add a server to Pi-Star
for either simple selection via the drop down or other way of
       entering the network path.
Just curious if anything not to complicated has ever been
attempted for use by a local group of Hams.
If not with a raspberry by then using a dedicated computer in
       Windows.
I just picked up my first Raspberry Pi 3B+ (other than my
hotspot I built using a zero W) and looking
for some projects to use them for that would interest me.
       Thanks Ken

Thanks, I did a search for hblink3. Even after reading a
little bit about it I can't tell
what it is. From the reading its well beyond my software skills
       which is zero right now.
I was looking for something simple with no thrills. Something a
       few hams could
go through to keep in touch. Single talkgroup really basic.
It could be in Windows OS too.
Maybe I can find a few youtube videos that break it down.
       Thanks,
       Ken
