       Is the TGIF TG down

I last used the TGIF TG 31665 during the weekly net last night.
But soon after I was unable to access TG 31665 at all. I tried
DroidStar which I used to check into the net. Also tried my
hotspot with an HT. And also entering 31665 on the Self Care
page. None of these allowed me entry to TG 31665. I've seen a
small amount of activity there on the Last Heard page making me
think others are also unable to activate the TG.

Just to coordinate information between here and the TGIF
Facebook page: The problem ended up being due to a problem with
Droidstar that necessitated a temporary ban on the user from
accessing talkgroup 31665. A malfunction in the user's
Droidstar app caused it to transmit continuously, disrupting
communications there. The user corrected the issue and the ban
       was lifted early.
What to take away from this?
       1) Droidstar works well for some people on some devices. But
for some people/devices, it can be buggy and exhibit poor audio
characteristics. Personally, I recommend using Droidstar only
when other, more stable/reliable/proven methods are unavailable
       (such as hotspots, DVSWITCH, etc.).
       2) If you must use Droidstar, take extra care to test it
THOROUGHLY before using it on a regular basis. Test your audio
and make necessary adjustments to your transmit gain using the
parrot. When you disconnect/stop using the app, make certain
       that it shuts down COMPLETELY.
       3) If using Droidstar and you get poor audio reports, do your
best to correct it. If your best doesn't improve things, PLEASE
       consider alternatives.
       Best Regards,
       Joe, WB3IHY
