Repeaters and TGIF Secure TGs

I help to manage a DMR repeater that is connected to TGIF. It
operates under the callsign of a ham (as opposed to a club call)
but uses a 6 digit repeater ID as it should.
One of the main TGs used on that repeater is now a secure TG.
Do I use the hotspot security key of that ham on his repeater
also, or are repeaters exempt from secure TG enforcement at this
point?
Someone in the know, please explain.
Thanks and 73...

If the repeater is currently using the DMRID of a ham for the
connection to the TGIF server, then that connection would
require the hotspot security key of that ham in order to access
secure TG's.
At least that's my understanding as of this writing.

There is apparently a separate security key provided for the 6
digit repeater ID.
