       iPhone connecting to hotspot help

       Trying to help a friend,  Has a iPhone.  He can see it within
       the Pistar software.  He adds it to the wifi list, enters the
       password.
       His mmdvm hotspot will not connect to it.   He does have his
       iPhone personal hotspot turned on.
       He turned off his home WiFi just to make sure it competing with
       the cell phone personal hotspot.
       He has no problems with his hotspot connecting to his home WiFi.
       I did a little search on this problem and it seems to be a
       common problem but I just have not found
       how to fix it yet.   Any tips would be appreciated.
       Using my Android phone no problems.
